The History of Toonarific

Buttons:

Below are various buttons and menus that we have used over the years. I’ve dug up as many of the original graphics as I could to compile this section.

The list of those who helped work on the site.

Various toon links.

To the interview section.

Unused. Would have been for showcasing fan pics.

To the ole guestbook.

Our site needed a guide on how to navigate through it.

Needed a disclaimer.

Our overly busy bulletin board. Too busy.

Site news and updates.

Videos, when we had them available.

The guests who had signed in.

The webrings we belonged to.

Opened up the letterlist for show info pages.

About the Bestest staff.

Menus:

And all sorts of menus were used, from basic linked images, to mapping, and then Flash animations. Here are all the versions I have found so far.

Around 2001, we started using this menu at the top of the main info frame. I believe we actually used 3 frames then, moving the right-hand menu to the left side, and added the top frame for this menu.

On the random specials page, we used mapping on this image to jump to the shows Peter was hollering about.

With the demise of Flash, the images/animations below no longer will show up or play 🙁

This is the Droopy menu after converting to Flash around Aug. 2003. The links are still hardcoded, but most will open pages that don’t exist anymore.

This is the letter menu after converting to Flash around Aug. 2003. The links are still hardcoded, but most will open pages that don’t exist anymore.

Later, after getting rid of the boring list of countries we featured cartoons from, Stacey made this sweet world map with scrolling names. The links are still hardcoded, but most will open pages that don’t exist anymore.

The 2003/04 main menu with the rotating sign post. Another great Flash animation. The links are still hardcoded, but most will open pages that don’t exist anymore.
