This was part of the "Force Five" cartoon series. Also known as 'Wakusai Robot Danguard Ace' in Japan. Due to the overpopulation of Earth, a suitable planet (Promete) is found to communize and relieve space on the planet. At the same time, an evil scientist named Komisar Krell decides to make the planet his own, and to create a race of people to populate it. In order to protect Earth's ship that is being sent to Promete from attacks by the Krell's, Danguard Ace is created.
