When Joe Bolton was reassigned to mc "The Dick Tracy Show" on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC as "Police Chief Joe" Bolton, "The Three Stooges" film comedies were placed on another kids tv show. "The Three Stooges Firehouse!".

Set Against the backdrop of an inner city house station, Todd Russell (Formerley "Big Todd" the manager and announcer on NBC & ABC TV's" Rootie Kazootie Club!") became the series host/performer. "Fireman Todd" would engage his visitors to his firehouse (His viewers) in stories, jokes, games, craftmaking, hobbies and informational segments that were wrapped around the reruns of "The Three Stooges" films. "The Three Stooges Firehouse" was also the first NYC based kids tv program to screen reruns of the post 1947 films that featured Moe, Larry and Shemp.

"Fireman Todd" would entertain and inform his viewers on "The Three Stooges Firehouse!" from Thursday Spetember 7,1961 until Friday March 15,1963.

On Monday March 18, 1963 "Capt. Jack" McCarthy would entertain and inform his viewers inbetween the reruns of the post 1947 "Three Stooges" films and "The Popeye" TV Cartoons that were produced for nationally syndicated tv by Paramount/ Famous Studios, Halas/ Bachelor Prods., Larry Harmon Pix' Inc. and Format Films Inc. and released thru King Features Syndicate TV Inc. on "The Popeye/ Three Stooges Show" weekday evenings from Monday March 18, 1963 to June 22, 1963.

On Monday June 24, 1963 "Fireman Todd" returned as the host/ performer of "The Three Stooges Firehouse". "Fireman Todd" would continue to entertain and inform his viewers until the station execs at Ch.11 finally closed down "The Three Stooges Firehouse!" for good on Friday August 31,1963. This was Todd Russell's last tv series. He would return to a career as a radio announcer and DJ for radio stations in CT and in New Jersey until his death in 1974.
