Tom and Jerry were first seen in the short called "Puss Gets the Boot". This show played episodes of not only Tom and Jerry but also of "Droopy Dog". Tom and Jerry are a cat and mouse pair that chase each other all over the house and hit each other with frying pans, burn each other with irons, and do many other nasty things. Spike is the big white dog who usually helps Jerry out of sticky situations and also helps in pummeling Tom.
