This show was originally a segment on the "Atom Ant Show". It was also shown on the "Banana Splits Adventure Hour". The Hillbilly Bears are just that, Hillbillys. Paw is an abrasive father who is always shooting at any tresspassers and mumbles his speech. The children are always ready to follow in their father's footsteps and shoot at anything that moves. Together, the family encounters many weird things like aliens to the common, every day hick family feud.
